Why Ipoh Old Town & New Town
Ipoh Old Town & New Town is Ipoh's historic heart on both banks of the Kinta River, with heritage shophouses, older family homes and many residents who have lived here all their lives.
Ipoh's Old Town and New Town have some of the city's oldest residents, many living above or behind shophouses with steep, narrow staircases. For them, leg strength and balance decide whether they can keep living where they always have. Their children, often working in KL or abroad, want someone reliable to keep them moving. We come to the home, work with the space and stairs as they are, and keep the family updated.
The lit Kinta Riverwalk and D.R. Seenivasagam Park are town-centre favourites for an evening or early-morning walk. We add strength and balance work at home, often using the staircase itself, so those walks stay comfortable and safe.
We know Ipoh Old Town & New Town, from Kinta Riverwalk to Birch Memorial Clock Tower, and build training around your real life here.
Your first home visit in Ipoh Old Town & New Town
- Message us on WhatsApp. Tell us who the training is for, your goals and any health conditions. We confirm whether your part of Ipoh Old Town & New Town fits our schedule and explain cost before you commit.
- Baseline assessment at home. A physiotherapist tests your strength, aerobic fitness, balance and mobility, plus a look at your space and routine, so the plan starts from your real starting point.
- A plan dosed to you. Coached sessions in your home or condo gym, with short homework for the days in between. Conditions are worked around alongside your doctor's advice, never against it.
- Re-test every 12 weeks. The same tests again, so you and your family can see what has improved and what we adjust next.

What clients say
Rated 5.0 on Google · Kinesio RehabGoogle reviews of Kinesio Rehab, the Putra Heights clinic where Thurairaj (Raj) and his team train clients, and our in-centre base.
“Mr. Raj was very patient with me, a 66 year old lady with osteoporosis. Help me to realize my potential to build strength. Would definitely recommend him anytime. Meanwhile am still training under him.”
“I've been working with Raj every few weeks for the last 2 months to help design a weights program with me. I'm a reasonably fit 40yo and he's helped create a 45min program and ensured I'm doing the reps in the right way. Easy to work with and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.”
“Working with my trainer at Kinesio Rehab has been a game-changer for my fitness journey... a totally new experience with PT for me! She doesn't just put me through a workout; she takes a holistic approach by helping with form, consistency and building confidence in the gym.”
“Brought mum for her standing posture and shoulder alignment issues. There was improvement after the first session itself for posture. After 4 sessions, standing posture and shoulder has improved so so much.”
When pain or injury gets in the way
Longevity training starts from where your body is today. If pain, an old injury or a recent operation is holding you back, Raj is a physiotherapist first: we treat and rebuild, then progress you into strength and fitness work. Exercise with pain, injury or limited mobility
“Mr. Raj is a very professional, knowledgeable, and caring physiotherapist. He took the time to understand my condition, explained the treatment clearly, and provided excellent care throughout my sessions. I noticed significant improvement in my pain and mobility after the treatment.”
“My trainer is very skilled and gave me the best physio movement guidance to recover at a pace my body could handle. Lots of useful information, and I enjoy my physio sessions with her.”
“A very friendly, professional top quality service and really excellent, effective treatment. I would definitely recommend!”
FAQs: Ipoh Old Town & New Town
My parents live in a shophouse with steep stairs in Old Town. Is home training safe there?
Yes, with the right approach. We first assess how they manage the stairs and the space, then build leg strength and balance in a safe spot on one floor before practising on the stairs with support. We'll also point out simple home changes, like an extra handrail or better lighting, that reduce fall risk.
Do you cover both sides of the river, Old Town and New Town?
Yes. Our Ipoh home visits cover the whole town centre on both banks of the Kinta River, plus Greentown, Canning Garden and Ipoh Garden nearby.
How do home visits in Ipoh Old Town & New Town work?
We come to your home or condo in Ipoh Old Town & New Town, bring compact equipment, and run the session in your own space at a time that fits your week. In Ipoh we offer home visits now, and an Ipoh centre is coming soon.
